Ol' Lou is caught in a confusing emotional state. There is certainly an unbreakable attraction, but at the same time there is a constant desire to run off into the emtiness of space. So there he stays, hanging around -neither running off nor coming closer- pacing, pacing, maybe forever.

"Like magnets, we attract"... or so the old t-shirt graphic says. You've got a nice polar ice-cap going there. Makes me not so concerned 'bout global warming (or 'climate change', as our commander-in-chief puts it). Seriously, though, nice global take on the topic.

It's actually falling forever, so fast that it never hits the Earth, but not fast enough to escape being pulled back around for another pass (and another and another and another) Oh, wait, were you being poetic? :)
